Ryan left his job in printing and fully focused on growing the new landscaping company. Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate and the first month almost ended things before they ever started. Freezing weather, snow, and constant rain made working outdoors impossible. After days of sitting around and waiting for the phone to ring, a call finally came in for a leaf removal job. Ecstatic, Ryan bid $40 for a job that ended up taking seven rain-soaked hours and cost $50 in trash bags. It was a rough beginning, and he began questioning his decision to start a lawn care company.
